RABBI YONASON SACKS
HaRav Yonason Sacks has been the spiritual leader and inspiration of the Agudas Yisroel Bircas Yaakov for the last two decades, bringing to our Shul the Torah of his two primary Rabbeim- Rav Soloveitchik zt’l and yblc’t Harav Asher Weiss shlita. The tremendous breadth and erudition of our Rav is recognized here and abroad. He is a sought after speaker, giving many shiurim in the shul, the Passaic/Clifton community and throughout the world. Many know his voice from the thousands of his shiurim available through Touro and Yeshiva University. A leading posek, he is called on for halachic advice at any hour of the day and night by his ba'alei batim, talmidim and other Rabbaim from communities near and far.

Rabbi Sacks descends from a long line of illustrious rabbinic personalities. His great-grandfather, the legendary Rabbi Zvi Pesach Frank, served as Chief Rabbi of Yerushalayim for more than 50 years. His grandfather, Rabbi Menachem Sacks was a leader of Jewish education in Chicago for nearly six decades, and his father, Rabbi Louis L. Sacks, was rabbi of Congregation Anshe Emunah in Delray Beach, FL.
For the last quarter century, Rabbi Sacks has been a leading figure in harbatzos ha’Torah as a Rosh Yeshiva and Rebbe. Rabbi Sacks is the Rosh HaYeshiva of Beis Medrash L’Talmud, Lander College for Men. For 18 years he was a Rosh Yeshiva at Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) at Yeshiva University where he was ordained and awarded Semikha Yadin Yadin, an advanced rabbinic ordination.
